  • Where is Queenstown House located?

    We’re nestled right above Queenstown’s town centre, just a short stroll (about 5–7 minutes) down to the shops, cafés, and lakefront.
    To walk to town from the property, turn right on Hallenstein Street and then take the stairs on the left (Turner Street). At the bottom of the hill take a left hand turn onto Gorge Road and follow until you reach town.
    An alternative (less steep) route is to take a left on Hallenstein Street and walk down to Sydney Street, take a right and then right again on Henery Street, this takes a bit longer but is not as steep at Turner Street.
    You can always jump in a Taxi if you are too tired to walk back.

  • How far is the property from Queenstown Airport?

    We’re a convenient 15-minute drive from Queenstown Airport. Taxis, rideshares, and private transfers are readily available.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.
    If you’re arriving early or leaving late, let us know and we’ll do our best to make it easy for you.
    Our office is manned between 0800 and 1800 daily. If you will be arriving outside of these times please contact us so we can provide you with late check-in information details. 

  • Is breakfast included?

    Yes! A delicious homemade breakfast is served between 0730 and 0930 and is included with every stay. We serve a mix of fresh local produce, baked goods, and hot dishes, with coffee and as selection of teas and other hot drinks. For earlier departures you can request a light takeaway continental “picnic” breakfast. Please advise us by 5pm the day prior or let us know before you arrive. 

  • Do you have parking available?

    Yes, we offer complimentary on-site parking for our guests, small vehicles preferred due to limited space. There’s also free street parking nearby if you need extra space.

  • Do you have laundry facilities?

    Yes, we offer complimentary laundry facilities, available from 0730 - 1900. We do limit to 1 load per stay to ensure that everyone can use the facilities. If you require bigger loads there is a laundromat close by at the bottom of Hallenstein Street.

  • What kind of views can I expect?

    Most rooms have panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu, the Remarkables, and surrounding mountains. Every morning brings a new postcard view!

  • Do you offer Wi-Fi?

    Yes. We provide free, unlimited Wi-Fi throughout the property.

  • Can you help with tours or local activities?

    Absolutely! We love helping guests make the most of their stay. Whether it’s a wine tour, scenic flight, or day trip to Milford Sound, we can offer recommendations and book experiences for you.

  • What is our smoking policy?

    Queenstown House is strictly non-smoking/vaping both within and outside the premises.
